Into a Mindfield

Back in January
I drove to the big city
…and spent three hours letting someone professionally test my brain.

I asked those long-standing questions about ADHD, trauma, and how my nervous system learned to cope.

That Mindfield held a lot
Of course it did.
Some clinical.
Some relational.
Some… creative.

I wasn’t looking for a new label.
I was looking for clarity.

The results didn’t support an ADHD diagnosis.
They did point clearly to longstanding trauma patterns.

That doesn’t erase my lived experience.
It doesn’t undo the tools that have helped me.

It simply gives language to the way my nervous system learned to survive.

And maybe that’s the part I want to share.

Clarity doesn’t have to change who you are.
Sometimes it just helps you stop chasing explanations.

If you’ve ever felt mislabeled,
over-explained,
or turned into someone else’s theory

You’re allowed to pause.

You’re allowed to learn your own system slowly.

You’re allowed to build support around how you actually work.

This is my story.
Take what fits.
Leave what doesn’t.
